Here's an article about cameos. I just read it recently. I just wish it had pictures though.

I used to have one in black and white years ago. It was attached to a little black velvet ribbon, I am not sure what ever happened to it. Anyway, I love them I think they are beautiful but most people nowadays want something a little more contemporary.

Who is that a picture? Is it of a particular person? Anyway, I think it's very nice.

Cameos are fabulous and very classy and elegant. My grandmother had a hand-carved cameo of her mother done. It was magnificent. Unfortunately, it was stolen many years ago.

I have two, and i think they are the plastic ones, I never gave them much importance since they are so old looking with those old fashioned drawing types, the pale yellow and pale blue one that i have doesn't even have a great design, the face and the hair lacks much details.
I have another smaller one which is completly white but the details are there, and its better than the blue and yellow one!
