I saw some beautiful earrings the other day in a magazine. They were replicas of beautiful paintings that were made into earrings. I just wish I had torn the page out of the magazine that I was looking at! I've looked everywhere onthe internet and I even went back to the doctor's office to try to find the same magazine, but I can't find out where to purchase them at.

I like to look at Mucha and Maxfield Parrish to get ideas. There is an ornateness to the colors. Aso there is a realism, things like fruit and the human form show how much they can work as adornment. You can use mosaic colors and inlay them in diamonds.

That's an interesting idea. I wish you actually tore that page off so you would have been able to show us the picture.

Designers often use the color schemes or period color combinations from great art because they make a complimentary palette for a wardrobe or outfit. Many stylists work backwards, if they find a great piece of focal jewelery in a color or style that suits their client they commission clothes to suit.

You said replicas? It is a good idea because most of jewelries I've seen are unique ones. So it's a good way for us to have beautiful jewelries and also unique antique jewelries. Am I wrong? But we must at least know if they are made of real stones.
I mean, we are not expert and jewelers can easily fool us.

Jewelery with the Joconde on?! WHo got that idea? It may be some promotional stuffs for the Da Vinci Code movie and book but I don't think that that's a good idea that will work out fine as I think that they would look odd and not worthy!
What difference woulf it make to have those artworks as carvings from other original ones?!
