The henna thing is for Indian Brides, they don't wear white for their wedding, but for funerals! Henna is not for tattoos, from what I have just read, they are supposed to show that this girl is soon going to be a woman, or so the culture says, I have not been able to get good information about it..
Face tattoo, the permanent ones, are, like some have mentioned, for only those that are self employed mainly. This is why they can have whatever face they want..

even i like it a lot and use Henna quite often in India henna is used mainly for application on the hands of the bride, it is an important part of the Bridal Rituals. do you have Herbal Stores in your neighborhood? or you could try ordering a Henna Kit online.

are you referring to this picture?

Henna comes in some different colors depending on what you want to do with it because it is also used asa hair dye.

even though from the picture it looks black, it is in fact dark brown and when the paste starts drying, it becomes even darker. if you want to have Henna tattoos Abstract, i would strongly advise you to get the brown Henna itself for it is the pure version of Henna. Black Henna often has all sorts of chemicals added to it and is not considered safe!
and like i told Esmeralda, you could try a local herbal store or some Ayur Store.

thanks Cassandra! and sorry Esmeralda! lol

well Cassandra, like i mentioned before, Henna is actually a plant and the paste is obtained by crushing the leave of the plant

Henna is fun because you can try out the craziest designs you've ever wished to have and then after some time it will fade away!!!

so maybe you should have asked someone who knows lol.

Henna is not ONLY for the Indian Brides, how selfish lol. and why do you think that henna isn't for tattoos? simply because some geek wrote that in some article some where? lol.

it is true that Henna has a deep root in the Bridal Rituals of India but it is also used for the beauty of the designs that can be created on the hands (or any other part of the body).

it's just like temporary tattoos except that this one is natural!!!

hi again lol. yes, Indian women and men wear white clothes for funerals and for her wedding, the Indian Bride wears Red or very colorful clothes.

Esmeralda, try finding a local store first which sells this. you could ask at beauty parlours!!! they might know where you can get Henna. but if you still can't get it locally, then try this link which might help you in ordering your Henna Kit.

*ttp://www.bdancer.com/med-guide/suppl/henna.html#kit

these are more intricate Henna designs that some brides enjoy having for their wedding day

but some of them prefer much more simple styles

and as you can see from this last picture, the Bride is wearing red. here's a full picture of what the Indian Bride might look like
