I had my ears pierced for the first time when I was 8, and never had any problems with the holes closing up, even if I didn't wear earrings for long periods of time. When I was about 12, I added a second hole in my left ear, and it gave me so much trouble! I wore a regular small gold ball earring in it for a few months, but it closed up as soon as I took the earring out. Has anyone else had this problem with multiple piercings? I loved wearing 2 earrings in one ear but the look didn't last long.

hi sparkle! i do have the same problem when i was in high school. i have to remove my second earring because that's not allowed in school. with this, those holes from both of ears closes up. so i decided not to put earrings in it. i still would love to try wearing multiple earrings, but i never succeeded

I'm not sure why or how or when this happens...Other people's piercings don't close up even if they don't wear earrings for many days...But mine just starts closing up even just after a day or two...

I got my first ear holes at 12 and had no problem. I got my second set of holes at 16 and also had no problems. I got my third set of holes at 18 and was miserable. They took a year to heal, but don't give me any problems now. I now have eight holes in my right ear and three in my left. None of those piercings was as hard to heal as the third set.
