Know the risks before you have your body pierced… Bacterial infection (where you had the piercing) Excessive bleeding Allergic reactions (especially to certain kinds of jewelry) Damage to nerves (for example, you may lose feeling at the area that gets pierced) Keloids (thick scarring at the piercing site) Dental damage (swelling and infection of tongue, chipped and broken teeth, choking on loose jewelry)

Certain places on the body can cause more problems than others — infection is a common complication of mouth and nose piercings because of the millions of bacteria that live in those areas. Tongue piercings can damage teeth over time. And tongue, cheek, and lip piercings can cause gum problems

Unfortunatly, there is a lot of risks and you get pierced. I friend of mine was telling me about her friend who got pierced, i don't remember where, but she got an infection and she lost on her left hand one finger!! Do you imagine who dabgerous it is. But people thinks it can happens just to others, they don't believe that it can happen to them too..

All the risks of body piercing can be avoided just by going to a specialist instead of trusting weird persons or your friends. I think that if you go to a specialist, nothing will happen to you. Well, in life everything is risky, either you dare to do things or you stay in front of your pc like a nerd, it's a choice

You should copy this information and paste it in some section in this forum because there are loads of peeps here who want to have so many piercing. This will surely open their eyes. Some people get infected only because they are allergic to the metal, but well, it remains bad for these people Thank you for your information

So people should not have some piercing only because of those infections? Do you think they invented pharmaceutical creams and lotion only to make advertisement? There are some jewelers who recommend you all these lotions once you got your navel pierced. You never heard about this?
