1. Consider how much you are willing to spend.

2.Get your bride-to-be's finger measurement.

3.Decide on the type of stone you want. gals usually prefer diamonds.

4.Decide on the carat you want. The carat is the weight of a diamond with

one carat being equal to 200 milligrams.
The more carats in a diamond the more expensive it will be due to the fact

that larger stones are more rare.
5. Decide if you want a flawless diamond which would normally be more expensive.
Clearer diamonds are more free of blemishes and therefore more pure and hence more expensive. The “clearness” of a diamond has ratings ranging from “FL” for flawless to “I” meaning imperfect. The clearness of a diamond also dictates the color it has and the clearer it is, the more colorless it is and hence more expensive
Finally, go to a jeweller's shop, take out the cash and take your ring home.

i surfed around and found that diamond rings on the net are cheaper than in jewellery shops. but do you think it is safe to buy it here?

will i be getting genuine ones?

and how do i take my would-be wife's finger measurement??? I haven't even seen her yet.

Don't be so lazy, Mr Perfect. you won't be getting married everyday.
try to get the pleasure of shopping for your wedding, it's really different from any normal shopping.
besides, it's real safer not to buy on the net. it's a different feeling to actually go to a jeweller, touch the rings, make ur wife-to-be try them n all.

one thing i didnt get, how come u've never met your future wife?

Is it some sort of a blind marriage?

The best way to find out the size of your proposed bride is to see if the rings she already wears fits your finger. If that is a no go, you could always take a sneaky measurement of the diameter of the ring. Other ways to find out are to ask a friend or relative or even take her to a jewelery shop to buy her a ring as a present and then make a note of the size of the rings she tries on. If all else fails then it is not difficult to have the jeweler re-size the ring if it does not fit after you purchased it.

nah...it's arranged! Never seen...never met...never talked! but still i wana give her the best thing!

it's not about being lazy...actually, i'm not the kind to spend long hours long...and i rarely go buying stuffs. so, i'm wondering...how i'll go...and what should i tell the jeweller actually... "Good morning sir, i want a ring...hmmm...it's for my wedding!" Won't i appear stupid like?

no, u won't appear stupid, that's what people actually say.
if you don't like going shopping, why not try ordering brochures and just go the jeweller and say " I want this one". place your order and go home.

as for your wife-to-be, i must say that she's lucky to have been approved without your seeing her.
very uncommon cases like this.
