Diamond, the hardess of all known substances is a mineral composed solely of carbon.
the word diamond comes from the Greek word 'adamas', which means 'unconquerable'.
diamonds have a legendary beauty....
the most precious one to me, well is on the Queen mothers crown, the KOH-I_NOOR! i would have loved to show you it, but i have found no pictures of it anywhere!

The koh-i-noor , meaning The Mountain Of Light is the gem with the oldest verifiable history of all diamonds and has been traced back to 1304. After changing hands many times it was PURCHASED by Britain in 1849 and i snow in the Queen Mother's crown.the re-cut stone is approximatly 108ct!

What do you mean by re-cut, 11382? Was it larger before it was cut? I think that 108 carat is big enough! And why did they cut and re-cut it? Was there any flaw in the first cut or is it that they dcided t cut it again using the laser method for a more precise cut?

What the meaning of KOH-I_NOOR? Never heard about that! It's a beautiful picture and a beautiful story too.
What do you mean by "re-cut stone is approximately 108ct"?
What does that 108ct means? I really love diamonds but I don't know that much about them. Thank you for posting this information

This is a nice story but I won't be able to understand it all the way because I heard so many things about diamonds till now. Does this mean diamonds have different histories?
