I don't know that much about designing a ring but you got loads of suggestions here and you didn't say thanks to them. Shame on you.. Do you at least have a picture to show us please??

Helped me
I was looking for a new diamond for a band for my wife, kind of a surprise update for Christmas, and couldn't figure out what to use either. I found that h**p://www.abazias.com has a 3d rotating ring builder thing on their site. I just found a band that was similar to the one I had and just went through different shapes until I found one I that I thought looked good.
