Hi guys, while surfing the I come across this info ...just wanna share it with you...do you know that ......Palladium, a platinum group metal, is used extensively as an industrial catalyst and is a key component in the manufacturing of automotive catalytic converters. Palladium bullion is also essential in the jewelry industry; "white gold" is actually a palladium/gold alloy.

Good to know these things....any more info about these precious metal.....check them out and lemme know

thanks for the palladium information shenaz!

for those who didn't get the gist of the thing... palladium is actually a metal which is similar to platinum and can be extracted from the same mineral deposits!

palladium and a few other metals form part of a group of metals which is associated with platinum!

check out this palladium ring

it's a superbly carved palladium wedding band for men and its price is $595.

what do you guys think?

I have never heard of palladium before for the manufacture of jewelry! I think that nowadays there are so many different metals that are used for jewelery that it is quite difficult to know about all of them!
Well the ring from Allegra is very bright looking, is it the palladium that gives it such brightness or its just that the light on the picture that makes it look like that? Well if it's its own brightness then
GOOD: The brightness, the color and the simplicity of the ring.
BAD: ..if the brightness is just a visual effect of the picture.

Yeah it’s good having such information. Palladium, sounds weird but I can say that it has a beautiful appearance too. I love the ring in allegra's post. Many materials are being use for jewelry and sometime I wonder if they really are precious materials or if it is just some kind of simple metal. Got to check this out. Anyway, thank you for this information shen

Me too first time heard about this! Well if they are all as good as the ring from Allegra then I think that it is a metal as good as gold and silver for jewelery! What are the similarities and differences between real plat and palladium?! Anyone knows about that?!

I think that palladium is as good as any other precious metals for jewelery!
If you have a look at the picture I have posted above you would understand what I mean!
The pendant is a mixture of gold and palladium.
If palladium was to becaom popular then I really think that it would be worn by many people!
Ain't they great pendants?

So you mean the white gold we all talk about is just a mixture of that palladium? I never heard about this! Are you really sure? If the picture in single's post is palladium jewelry then I can say it is just great. The color is just great and the stone is beautiful too ! You are right, they are great pendants. Thanks for posting those picture. I never heard about palladium before

..palladium platinium, stadium they all are very precious metals!
...na was only kiddingg about that one, its cool to know about how white gold is made as i think that only yellow gold is popular, it may even be that there ain't many people that know that white gold exists!!!
...well palladium looks fine to me, its just another precious metal in the already long list of precious metals!

single meant that both gold and palladium have been used to make the jewelry he posted, they haven't been mixed
and like Allegra so rightly said, palladium is part of the group metals associated with platinum

here's another Palladium ring

just a different style from the one posted by Allegra, this one is a wedding band
