Thumbs up Definitely!
I would definitely purchase plat if I had the money. I am currently looking into purchasing it as an investment, as jewelry to sell.

I don't know why anyone would not want it other that the fact that it does quite a bit. However, the price it costs to clean and maintain other metals, perhaps it would be worth it, because platinum metal does not tarnish.

You are right...platinum is rare. Ten tons of platinum ore is required to process a single ounce of pure platinum. A piece of jewelry made of Platinum is considerably heavier and stronger than its counterpart in Gold, therefore more expensive due to its bulk weight alone. For this reason silver is not so expensive as platium.

It all depends what jewelry I am willing to make!
SILVER:
GOOD: For right-hand rings, pendants with no gemstones.
BAD: For some bridal jewelery, for jeweley with intersting expensive stones, like diamonds
PLAT:
GOOD: For bridal jewelry, original customised jewelry!
BAD: For some jewelry that has inexpensive gems encrusted.

Personally I'll go for platinum, I know it is so expensive but it is just too beautiful.
I really like the color and most of their rings are just too great.
My mother has a pendant and I can say that it the most beautiful one I have ever seen

Its all abou tmoney and tastes!
If you like silver then you should go for it, else if you prefer plat then, you already know what to do!
I don't buy jewelery, neither for me nor for anyone, I love antiques, and I think that, since there are many antiques in silver and none in plate, then I would opt for silver itself, if ever I had to buy jewelery!

Silver is very good for jewelery but after having a look at all those extraordinary jewelery in this platinum section, I would love to own at least a ring made from it!

You are right Indiana. It really depends on your likes and dislikes, you should be able to afford the platinum ring also because I heard it was more expensive. Me too I would like to have one. I mean one set. It will surely look great on my outfit! I think Jasmin might be a rich girl. What do you think people? Why is the thread call Platinum Vs. Sliver? Is it some kind of debates against silver? I like the two of them!
