Platinum is an extremely rare metal and is absolutely stunning. Personally, I'd choose it over silver if I actually had the money to. :) What about you?

I agree. There's something about platinum that I like though I can't define it easily. Is it because its also a useful metal and strategically important?

Rofl, how can a metal be strategically important? I imagine, call me cynical, that the govt took the platinum to raise funds, or as a propaganda act like they did with Iron in Britain.

me, too...well, if i had the money...i wanted to buy a platinum ring one time but couldn't because my budget was just too low...

Unlucky, platinum is really expensive, but worth it IMO, it has the sheen that gold has lost and that added coolness.

Yes, i fully agree, take out a loan etc, it is a worthwhile investment, borrow/scrounge as much as possible?

But be careful that you stay fairly mainstream in your design; anything too obtuse wont sell as well later on.
