this is getting even more complicated day by day. the matter is being strech more and more. one thing that i cant understand is that why do promise rings exist? why? being adolescent, i would never desire for such a ring, because when you are given such things, you think that the person who has given you this has every right on you but when due to a misunderstanding or whatever you are separated, you'll never be able to forget your past, and the ring will always remind you of that person.

uh... maybe as the name indicates, it exists due to the existence of promises? and is hence, symbolic of promises?

uh actually, it's more like the person offering the ring is PROMISING you something, the person doesn't OWN YOU all of a sudden just because of a promise ring. and a promise ring doesn't exactly change the course of fate or reality now does it?

or maybe simply because it was meant to be and that we cannot predict the future?

we can learn how to forget. but if a person is very adamant on not forgetting, then fine, remember it... but as a happy memory instead of a bad one? but it would be so much easier to just discard it really lol

that's IF you keep the ring. what if you THROW it away?
ok, say am being too drastic, but a person offers you the ring, doesn't mean that you have to torture yourself all your life and use the ring till your death bed. if it makes you happier to do away with it, then that's better isn't it?
