Even though traditional african wedding are within the family or in the community. Everything is done normally. Here is a bride

The bride plays a very important role during the ceremony and is treated with great respect coz she is the link between the born to be child and ancecstors.

The three jewels above are usually worn by the bride depending of their taste

Several marriages can be done at the same time depending on the community and at the end of the wedding a big feast is done

From the list i see only the rings that are nice...the others don't really suit my taste..and the neckace would have looked great if they hadn't painted the lovely shells...are those rings the engagement rings?? and what are they made of??

The ring with the only tiny gem isvery beautiful and very original too! Very different from anything that I have seen before! I would say that the idea is very nice and would really be great to have other models with small gems!
I never knew that the africans had such great designs, always thought that they were for leather and wood jewels!

Me too I prefer the ring with a tiny little gems! But hey, look at the shells jewelry and now have a look at the lady's outfit. Don't you think it will make a good match? I'm just asking.
What are your views about this?

The one with the small diamond is made from titanium just like that one.

They are wedding rings

Yup the shell jewelry would be fine on the woman. It matches perfectly @ Tarja, you're right

Made from the same material but this one looks more impressive and more attractive than the other. African's jewelries are great too. I love the blue stone in it. I can see two little stone too which looks really great on this ring

waow they've done such a gorgeous job out of those shells and it's a set right? looks so nice! it's really the kind of jewelry you want to wear when you want to have a natural touch to your wedding day but then it also depends where the wedding will be held!

These are quite diiferent from the usual wedding jewelry that we are acustomed to! Well anyway the shell nekclace is a real beauty! It has shells all over and they are made from gold, or gold plated, I am not sure!
The ring with the tiny gem is really cute, never seen any ring with such a tiny gem on such a big design! Really cute, hail to the Africans, they are great in jewelry, but poor them, they live in such poverty!

There are many people who are very rich in Africa. These people can afford such kind of jewelry. I mean the picture in gieacai's post. The ring is very beautiful with the blue stone.
I don't know if this is right, but I heard that Africa was only country where people discovered white gold! Is it true?

The only piece of jewelry posted here that seems to be from Africa is the rings that have elephants on them! Since there are so many elephants there and they have such great importance then its true that the elephant rings seem to come from there.
The other jewels look like they come from any country, they can be said to be normal jewelry, the last ring that was posted has great beauty, it looks like a ver classy one, three gems on a single ring and th way they have been encrusted and also the sizes, well they are quite out of ordinary!
