My cousin is a lesbian. When she and her life partner had their commitment ceremony they exchanged simple gold bands. I think as long as you find something your partner will like, that's all that matters.

My sister is a lesbian also, and she plans to exchange rings with her partner when they have their commitment ceremony. I think it's a wonderful idea and I have no problem with gay weddings at all :). Everyone should have the right to exchange rings with a partner.
