i don't think that Mike's choice of ring was "sturdy" 
on the contrary, it would look magnificent on a lovely pair of hands. Mike, that's a pretty nice ring you chose there. your post is pretty old, so i don't know if you have already chosen a ring for your lady, but if you have and if that's the one you chose, then rest assured, it's nice.
but for all i care, i hope that your to-be wife liked it!
