Me too I haven't heard about Russians making jewelry. I never heard they were genius people too  Just kidding.But I can say that some of their diamonds are fake one. I watched a TV report long ago about that. Some of them were really dealing in fake diamond, they sold it at an expensive price (same as real one I presume) They sold a huge quantity of fake diamond (I don't exactly know how much). Well that doesn't mean all Russians are the same. There are some who really are honest people

I can say it was a nice TV report zlug. Me too I want to have a look at this. I never heard about Russians being great inventors of diamonds jewelry. Maybe they made loads of money with this fraud. i totally agree with what you said zlug. Quote:

So this mean there are loads of people who bought fake diamonds. Poor them. At least I got a good jeweler to help me and to show me how to differentiate real diamond from fake one. All of us should have some knowledge about diamonds, just to prevent us from buying fake ones

Russian jewelry? Russian gems huh? Well what happened to them, got robbed? I hope that they didn't intend to cheat us with fake jewelry cause the states would have never allowed them to do such a thing!!!! Our President is here to help us, the Russians would have never been able to sell their fake jewelry to us!

well i too didnt hear of any such but i pity those who must have purchased those diamonds, how surprised they should have been when they would have discovered that the diamonds that they have bought is fake!!! well it's so bad to know that these people have been able to get a great deal out of it. i hope that next time such a thing wont happen.

It's quite an old story. Producing synthetic diamonds is not a criminal act, but making people believe that they are genuine one is a very bad thing. I heard so many stories about them and actually I don't realy know if they really flood the market.. Did you hear about this one "Russian sales of diamonds surged last year to $2 billion, or 30% more than in 1994" !? How come they made fake ones?
