A while back I can remember people talking about Russia making diamonds and was going to flood the diamond market. I never heard anything else about it. Does anyone else know what happened?

They created them, but looking at the specs of the stones they are really nothing more than a man made cz.

they were not real diamond they were fake ...fabricated one....

Russia has exposed its diamond statistics for the first time. These data have always been marked as secret since the time, when diamonds deposits were discovered in the USSR in the middle of the 1950s.

Me too I heard that it was fake diamonds. It was only a black market. I also heard that they got lots of money with these fake diamonds What about the search ku@s1? Did you find something? I'm browsing the net too but I can't find such information. But I really heard that they were fake ones. Poor are those people who bought these diamonds. I wonder how they will feel when they will come to know that their diamonds are fake ones

I really hope that they have not put fake diamonds, glass like apoorvarajendra mentioned! This would be terrible if there were fake diamonds everywhere on sale and having us poor civilians, poor normal unexpertised people on diamonds, buying those for a lot of money!
I think that its best having a feedback from our jewellers of the place where their diamonds come from.

i haven't heard of genuine Russian made diamonds? mostly i know that Russia has leading manufacturers of cubic zirconia and synthetic diamond - i'm still trying to figure out if the two things are the same - but you are right grandiose, it would be a real shame with all the people who would have been cheated! hey you're right on with that one, we have to make sure where are diamonds are coming from. but hey, what if your jeweler is a fraud?
