When purchasing a diamond there are several factors that one should take into account. Each factor will aid in ensuring that your diamond purchase best suits the person and the occasion, whether it's a diamond earring or a diamond necklace. Among the most important factors are the 4 C's. The 4 C's refer to the cut, clarity, carat, and color of a diamond. A diamond's quality is mainly determined by these characteristics.

Here are some tips for you if ever you intend to buy an diamond in the future check out those important points:

Color: a diamond should be more than just white but not necessarily Blue white
Clarity: a diamond should be far better than just eye-clean but should not necessarily be Internally Flawless
Cut: a diamond should be cut in Antwerp where you can find the best craftsmanship on the market : It's the cut that makes a diamond sparkle ! The choice of platinum - white - yellow gold is yours although I think they should match your other jewellery

I heard about the 4C's but never paid a single attention to it. I thought it was only for jewelers. Do you think I'm wrong guys? You should at least have some experience in order to determine all these C’s! Thank you for this information. Chelsea's post seems to be more useful Thanks to you too Chelsea

It sure depends on the four seas(c's), but it can also depend on other factors if the diamond is mounted on some jewel. The cuts of the diamonds differ in price and thus the choice of the cut of the diamond will have a direct relation with its price.

That's why they call this website fourseadiamonds? We are in the diamond section also I've never been able to understand the 4C's. I think this information is useful only for jewelers and people who are willing to take diamond courses. I don't want to learn all these things for diamond. I can say I'm fond of them

What you just said is absolutely right ! That's why people think they are being fooled. Well the truth is that is really depends on the cut which I think is the design.. It is also about the way the jewels are being mounted! Well, there' a lot to learn
